Wayne Jewell remembered

A beloved member of our Tater Patch family left us today.  Wayne Jewell passed away after a long fight with diabetes and kidney failure.  Wayne was a huge part of Tater Patch since coming to our family over 10 years ago.  He appeared on stage in Harvey in 2006, Li’l Abner in 2007, Almost, Maine in 2010, Epic Proportions in 2011,  Gypsy in 2012, Dashing Through the Snow in 2013, Little Shop of Horrors in 2014, Mama Won’t Fly in 2016, and  Inherit the Wind and You Can’t Take It With You in 2017.  His largest role was in Dashing Through the Snow when he got to appear on stage with his wife, Pat.    He gave many, many hours backstage and loved running the light board.  The lighting and costume area that we built into our new home in 2011 is called the Waynewalk, as he first stepped on it.    He was a long-time member of our Board of Directors and he was always a willing volunteer.  As a friend of ours said today, though small in stature, he was a big man to all of us.  He will be sorely missed.  Please keep his wife Pat, daughter Karensa, and his grandchildren in your thoughts and prayers.
